Purdy Flower

I bought a bouquet of flowers for our kitchen table. I liked this one the best out of them all. I'm not really sure what kind of flower it is though?!?!

I know this one's not in focus, but I still thought it was cute!

Grandma's in Town.

Tuesday night I picked Kerri and her grandma up from the airport. The next day we got up and ate breakfast at the Breakfast King, near our house. They serve the most enormous plates of food EVER!

When we left there we headed to the Nature & Science Museum. It was a free day, so everybody and their momma were there. We ended up having to park across the street in a neighborhood. It still wasn't too bad though. This was the first time we had been here. I thought it was pretty cool, but it would have probably been better if it wasn't so crazy inside!

This man was walking around with this dinosaur attached to him. All the little kids there seemed to think this was so funny...there were a few kids that were scared of him.

There was a nice view of the city from the museum. If we would have known about this fountain maybe we would have brought our swim suits! It looked like fun!

They had Titanic artifacts at the museum, but unfortunately you had to pay to see those. There was this model that was out for anyone to see and also this large bell that was on the Titanic. I'm curious to know what kind of artifacts they had though. Luckily it'll be there for a while, so I could still go check it out some other time.

We went to eat ice cream at Bonnie Brae when we left the museum. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now. Whoever Bonnie Brae is she must be pretty popular. Every shop in this area is called "Bonnie Brae."

Kerri and her grandma eating a tasty treat!

On as side note....Kerri's grandma's pretty awesome. She's a big Carolina fan! During the season she sent me a few newspaper articles and wrote me a little note! I thought that was so sweet! I'm glad she was able to come here and spend some time with Kerri. Grandma's are great!

Me, My House, and I

Today I had some time just to do whatever. I wanted to spend some time playing around with my pocket wizards. It's very hard to be both the model and photographer. The girly side of me still enjoyed it though. I love the colors of the walls at our house, so I wanted to use that as my background!

I had to take a picture of me and my two favorite and oldest stuffed animals. I've had Murf, the bear, since I was five. Bunny, the bunny, came along soon after Murf. Bunny has a music box that plays rockabye baby. Murfy use to repeat everything you said, but one night he spoke on his own, so we had to take the battery out of him. Every since then I use the little pouch on his butt to store treats and surprises.
Hallway...

I can't wait to get my hair trimmed up on Friday!

The Living room.

Anton's New Swing

Anton is the little boy I've been babysitting for a little over a year now. He got a new swing in his backyard. I've always loved swings that hang in trees! I try to spend as much time possible outside with Anton. The weather has been really hot lately, so we usually find a nice shady spot in the yard!

One of Anton's little farm animals.

Lately he hasn't wanted me to sing with him. Either my voice sucks or he really does just want to do it by himself:)

We're playing a little tickle game!

Spending the day with Cayla...

Today I spent the day with Cayla. I asked her if she'd be my model for the day, plus I wanted to hang out with her before she left for school. We headed up to Marshall Mesa, up near Boulder. Cayla sucked up the hot weather and all of the crazy BUGS for me! My legs were torn up by the end of the day and I was a little toasty...which I needed a little color anyway:)

Cayla started off wearing the white dress with the shiny red earrings and bracelet. We stayed out there until we were hungry and couldn't take much more of the heat!

We headed to Panda Express when we left Marshall Mesa. Surprisingly I was able to down a whole plate of Chinese food without getting sick! It was quite delicious!
That morning I picked out a bag full of clothing for Cayla, because she had so many cute things. I'm sure she was glad we only did two more tops after we left Marshall Mesa! We went to the Westin for the those two. Luckily there was a small little spot of shade to crash under for a few of the shots! There was also this cute little bunny that was hanging around. He wanted to get in on the action, so I had to take a couple shots of him.
Cayla had a hard time playing the role of a "punk." I think she pulled it off:) If she wasn't wearing a heart ring I'd be afraid....
We were both pretty tired once we got to Cayla's house. I was so hot and tired I jumped in the pool before I headed home. I had an awesome time spending and catching up with Cayla! I'm so excited for her and all the new adventures that are about to take place. Cayla's family has really been a blessing in my life since I've been in Colorado! Hopefully I'll get to take a weekend and visit her when she's in CA!

Marathons in the Morning.

It makes two days in one weekend that I have woke up before the sunshine. I just don't know what I think about that. 4am-ish is not the time of day I typically like waking up. This morning I woke up to go to Peggy's (the photographer I work for) Danskin Marathon. It was at the Aurora Reservoir. This place was pretty darn HUGE! I'm glad I got there early, because traffic became really caotic after I arrived.

The Sun was rising when I got there, around 5:30am.

I waited around for a while for Peggy to get there. She wanted me to photograph her and the ladies in her group. The first event was swimming, then biking, and running. These women really were rocking hard out there. I watched Olivia, which was one of the mother's on the team. Peggy let her take one of her old cameras so she could shoot with me. She was such a cuttie. I think the long day wore her out though. Once it started getting hot, I just wanted to fall out!

I think it's amazing when people of all ages get out there and work their butts off for a good cause. She probably could have kicked my butt.

One of the girls and Peggy getting ready for their big swim!

She pretty much ROCKS!

Biking time...

We were pretty much done by 11:30. It probably wasn't until 1 before I actually was able to get out of the parking lot. It was MADNESS! It felt like a really long day, but it was worth it. I'm glad I could help Peggy out as much as she's helps me.

Now, I'm home. I came home and took a shower and relaxed. My relaxing turned into laying back in my bed for a couple of hours. My body is definetly feeling a little off today. Tomorrow is the start of a fairly busy week....
