Back in May Chris and I spent the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill. The last time we visited was in the January 08' . Everything was pretty much dead then so it was nice to visit in the Spring when all of the flowers were in bloom. It was a nice trip because we had been working hard organizing and cleaning our home and some times you just need a break from all of the craziness:)
I was thrilled to be apart of the BIG action down in Chapel Hill when Carolina won the NCAA Championship! I knew I had to work the next day, but I also new it was a life time chance to see some of those guys WIN a NCAA Championship. It was well worth it! I actually have a small scar in my eye to remember it by:)
Here's one before we fly out to Texas....Chris and I are trying to stay up since we have to get up around 3 anyway.
Kevin and I went with Matt and Kay to see the UNC Seniors play in Wilson a couple of months ago. Tyler was the headliner, but he was a no show. They said he was receiving a reward, I do believe, in NY. Our boy isn't so little any more....I guess he never was!
Anyway, here's a slideshow to enjoy from the game. I so wish I would have had my new and awesome 70-200 CANON lens for this!!! Note: Let slideshow load completely before you start viewing them. I've noticed if you don't let it load completely it won't let you get through slideshow.
Kay threw me a Lingerie shower back in April. Yes, I'm just now getting around to posting it. You better be grateful, b/c I'm about to go through another streak of not posting much! I have so many trips coming up that I don't even know what to do with myself! Enjoy these for now:) Yes, there are undie pics, but they are part of the decor (and maybe I just happened to take them home). No more details regarding gifts though...they were all LOVELY!!
All of the goodies were yummy...
I love how the dogs turned and posed for this one...they're just one of the girls (AnnaBelle actually is a girl...Miles, well he's a boy):)
Since we've settled in to our place I have enjoyed making and trying new recipes. Lately I've found a lot of good recipes (especially desserts) at allrecipes.com. I actually dug this recipes out of my homemade book. I love looking at food magazines, tearing out recipes, and collecting them in my book!
Maybe, if I have time in the future I'll post more! If you're interested in this simple recipe let me know!
Thanks to my lovely friends Matt & Kay I had the great honor of meeting The Wilson Family! Matt & Kay met Wayne & Justine in Greenville, NC. Back in January Matt celebrated his Birthday and Wayne, Justine, & Samuel were able to surprise Matt at their home in Wilson, NC.
I was very excited when Justine showed interest in a photo shoot! Samuel just celebrated his 1st Birthday in May. I was able to visit them at their home a few weeks later for this awesome shoot! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! You're going to wish you could pinch Samuel's cute little cheeks once you're done:)
We had a hard time at first getting Samuel warmed up to the idea of having his picture taken! I love some of his expressions on his little swing!!
Me Before the wedding! I was trying to get so much complete it wasn't even funny! I'm very thankful that the two computers that I work on now are right beside each other!
This was still before the wedding! Chris was actually in the room behind me studying for exams. I believe this was the week before the wedding!!
