UNC Final Four game (as promised)...

I took my mom's digital camera to the Dean Dome the night that we'd all like to forget (sorry to bring it up). They aren't the best shots ever, but they're just for fun!! I actually did have a GREAT time that night spending time with my friends! One of my favoirte moments was after the game in Kathy's car when "Friends are Friends Forever" came on the radio. We all grabbed hands and sang to our hearts content. It's seemed like a perfect moment:)

Delight's Lingerie Party

A few weeks back Maria and I threw our good friend Delight a Lingerie party. Delight is getting married on May 31st:) YAY!

Delight's crown...

All of the Bridesmaids and a few others wore these "mini" crowns...

We played a game that involved using close pins! Abby and Brenda where the BIG winners for the day. I believe they both one 2 or 3 games each!

My good friend Amy made these amazing cupcakes!!!

Lucky Ducky

Lucky has grown into a big boy. Yes, he's lean and mean, but he's grown sooooo much in the last few months. Check out this blog to see his growth:) He's still very immature and crazy though...

Lucky actually likes his tie:) Most cats will put up a fight. Doesn't he look handsome?

Bringing back the "Good Oh Days!"

I wanted to share a few pictures of my parents:) They make me smile and laugh!
My parents were married at Southside Baptist Church. It's the Church I grew up in for most of my life. It's were I met my lifelong friends (well, more like family).

My parents were very HOT!

I love this couch and I wish it still was around!

My parents and Matt's (best friend) parents. It's amazing how far back friendships go! I actually found this dress in mema's attic a few years ago. I still have it and it actually fits!

Who wears short short's? My dad and mom wore short short's! I know you love my dad's cut-off's:) It reminds me of "Arrested Development." I love how their shorts are the exact same length!!!

Life and the unexpected...

I just wanted to say that I'm doing as okay as I can be. I always think of the scene in Sleepless in Seattle where Tom Hanks talks about how he deals with his loss of a loved one. It really just doesn't seem real. I have to bring myself back to reality a lot of times.

It's seems to be all around me. I have come in contact with so many people that have said that they understand because it has happened to them. It's hard to even believe because sometimes you feel like you're the only one that knows how you feel. I know that God doesn't just rejoice over our loss, He weeps with us. He doesn't like to watch His children mourn. He's with us. His arms embrace us.

My dad is in a place that we only can imagine here on Earth. I can only imagine that he's hanging out with a lot of awesome people. I'm selfish though. I'm human. I want to see my dad. I want to hear his voice. I want to see his smile. I want to see his deep blue/grey eyes.

I saw God's strength in my friend when she lost her dad a few years ago. I admired her for that. I honestly didn't think I'd be capable of that strength. I've discovered in the last few days that I am strong, that my mom is strong, that my brother is strong, and that my family is strong. I really do not know how non-believers deal with death. I draw my strength from Him and that's how I'm surviving right now.

Thank you for all of your prayers, thoughts, emails, and any other form of communication there is these days. My dad was loved and we are loved! As David Noel sang after Carolina won the National Championship game, in 2005, "Don't you worry, we're going to make it!"
