Battle Park

Here are a few shots I took at Battle Park before I had a Photo Shoot with the Maynard family last month (which I will be posting pictures from soon!). Battle Park is one of those parks that is kind of a hidden treasure in Rocky Mount. It has always had a bad rap of being a "scary" place. A few years back I started going out there and walking. I discovered what I had been missing out on all of those years. It's a very cool park. It's just one of the places, like any, that you don't go to late a night or it's probably better not to go alone (though I'll admit I did many times!).

Zoo Day with Chris, Kerri & Nick

Chris & I got the opportunity to hang out with my good friend Kerri & her boyfriend Nick. I briefly met Nick at our wedding, but this was the first time we actually all hung out together. It was a really nice day and I enjoyed spending it at the Zoo with them. Kerri & I have many good memories in Asheboro & at the Zoo!

Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill, NC

Back in May Chris and I spent the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill. The last time we visited was in the January 08' . Everything was pretty much dead then so it was nice to visit in the Spring when all of the flowers were in bloom. It was a nice trip because we had been working hard organizing and cleaning our home and some times you just need a break from all of the craziness:)
